We are the 2 mums behind Cwfl.
Nerys is from Aberystwyth and Lauren is from North London with a scandi twist. Both have kids (5 between them) Nerys married a Cornish dude, Lauren, a Welsh one … it’s basically an equal match!
Founded in 2017 (well, let’s be clearer. The idea started in 2017 whilst both sat watching the kids take swimming lessons). It was a friendship born out of a love for cool clothes and really nice stuff! But the ‘cool bits’ had never been purchased in their home city of Cardiff.
There wasn’t a unisex store that sold what we wanted to buy and that gave us that everyday, edgy, laidback cool vibe and that shared our ethos of anti-fast fashion.
Soooooo, fast forward a few years. When all our talking and planning and promising was actually put into real life.
We thought f##k it, let’s try it. Let’s see if people fancy this too … And so Cwfl opened its doors in December 2022 in The Laundry Quarter. It’s the smallest unit within the development, and it’s just cool.
We’re so proud of all the brands we have, and the fact that we’re the only stockist in Wales for a lot of them.
When you buy something from us, you are buying something that will inevitably make you feel confident, edgy, calm – all wrapped up in a cool vibe.
“I love that, where’s it from?”…”It’s from Cwfl”

We Care
We don’t often shout about our Green credentials, but sometimes we think we should.
When we first had the idea for CWFL, one thing we both wanted was to establish a sustainability ethos that would influence everything we do.
From the brands we source to the people we work with and the products we use. That hasn’t changed from day one and we’re so proud that we continue to operate in this spirit.
If you ever wonder why some of our brands and styles may cost a bit more than other brands elsewhere – that’s why.
From DL1961 with their chic denim fashion married with ethical innovation, to Freedom Moses and their Vegan Slides. From L:A BRUKET with ingredients inspired and sourced from nature, to Mads Nørgaard and their work on Human Rights Due Diligence in their supply chain – we take our sustainability goals seriously.
We know we only get one planet.
